I used some oddly shaped copper pieces that already had some aquatint texture on them to make this first of my panoramas and just fell in love with the shape and the challenges that it provided me to fill the space. For those not from the Seattle area, these help illustrate the phrase that we use to describe a clear, cloudless day: "the mountain is out." I have a signature "rainy day blue" ink that I mix for my various Northwest themed panoramas that I think fits our general vibe nicely. The image size is 12" x 3" (30 cm x 8 cm) on acid-free BFK Rives cotton rag paper that is 14" x 7" (35 cm x 18 cm).
