I wanted to really get that wet plush coat feeling in this one and I think I succeeded. Getting those whiskers to pop required several revisions and passes into the acid tank and I about went cross-eyed doing it but I think it was well worth it. It's hard to see in the photo, but I do a little bit of a la poupée technique to add a little bit of black ink to the nose on the plate before printing it to just subtly bring it forward more. I have named this one Otter von Bismarck for the fine 1800s mustache. The image size is 6" x 6" (15 cm x 15 cm) on acid-free BFK Rives cotton rag paper that is 8" x 8" (20 cm x 20 cm).
